Founded in 2015 in Odiliapeel, the Netherlands, the company develops two patented systems: S-Blade for automatic defect removal in french fries production, and D-Blade for robotic cutting of potatoes, carrots and strawberries. Core principle: remove the defect, not the product. Where conventional optical sorters reject a whole fry when a defect is detected, S-Blade uses deep learning to detect the defect and cut out only that part, keeping the rest of the product on the line. D-Blade combines machine vision with delta robots to determine and execute the optimal cut per individual product, regardless of size or shape.
